WHY ARE YOU MARCHING?
Finding out stuff is an essential part of being human.
I believe the basic sciences are the key for true competitiveness of Denmark, much more than innovation.
Decisions must be based on facts. Alternative facts are lies. The scientific method tells us how to decide which is which, and this must be respected and promoted from the top to the bottom of society if there is any hope for humanity.
For centuries scientific truth through observation and rigorous study has prevailed in the face of ignorance and superstition. This trajectory must not stop now. @DeProgressiveDK
Because knowledge is the foundation of society.
I find that science is important.
Decisions should be based on solid facts.
I support the march, hoping it will raise awareness that science has important messages we can not afford to ignore.
To support a scientific-evidence-based world view.
Because knowledge is the foundation of our democracy and society.
I support the March for Science!
Because we would like to support children and young people in exploring, understanding and changing the world with science.
A defense of evidence-based thinking and the scientific method has never been more important.
I support the March for Science!
I support the March for Science!
I support the March for Science!
We can’t know what it means to be human without exploring ourselves and the world we live in. This endeavor is called science.
Knowledge and insight are the foundation of a civilized society. We must do what we can to base our actions on the best available knowledge!
Science is our the symbol of human curiosity, interaction with other humans and the basis for understanding life and death – all disciplines are part of an enormous undertaking aiming at creating the societies we live in.
Political development over the decades clearly shows the lack of transparency in the relationship between money, special interests, politics and science. The contra-factual propensities can be seen in all wavelengths of the political spectrum. Politicians seduce the public by undermining the experts, making use of emotional words like ‘expertism’ and ‘value struggle.’ Science and politics are inseparable. Our political discussions should not deal with what the facts are (we have the scientific consensus), but about how we use the knowledge we have to make the best decisions for our society.
I support the March for Science!
Science or chaos.
March for Science focuses on an important agenda for the whole community – including high-school education.
I am a scientist.
Because our science in recent years has suffered from unreasonable attacks. We have forgotten all the value that science contributes to the Danish society.
It’s about time to stand up and require that politics must be science based.
I support the March for Science!
I support the March for Science!
I support the March for Science!
Because education and research is a vital part of any society and must always be prioritized.
It is important to support science when it is attacked on a frivolous basis.
It seems more important than ever that scientists stand together.
I support the March for Science!
Science is the tool of choice when you have to navigate in the increasingly complex World.
I support the March for Science!
The alternative to scientific and evidence based knowledge and decision making are lies and corruption and must therefore always be opposed.
I support the March for Science!
Science is the antidote to the post-factual society.
Science as the basis for political decisions!
Science is the foundation for us to continue delivering more and better treatments to the citizens, to the patients. Without the science and the curiosity of getting more skilled and smarter, we can not continue to deliver high quality, high-quality treatment for present and future generations.
I support the March for Science!
I support the March for Science!
The Alternative supports because nobody knows the future – therefore research and curiosity are absolutely crucial to answer the questions that we did not know we needed answers to.
I support the March for Science!
To fight “alternative facts”
I support the March for Science!
I support the March for Science!
Only through knowledge can we make our future secure and secure our future as human beings.
Free research!
To defend a scientific-based approach to the world.
Scientific studies based on transparency and peer-review should continue to be the pillars on which we base our society and decisions.
The Danish Council for Resuscitation works for education and public education based on the best available evidence in the field in collaboration with, among others, the European Council for Resuscitation.
In solidarity with universities and colleagues who are subjected to political censorship and oppression of research results.
Concern especially for future generations.
I support the March for Science!
I support the March for Science!
I support the March for Science!
I support the March for Science!
Science sparks perspective.
I support the March for Science!
I support the March for Science!
I support the March for Science!
Too few people appreciate that the fantastic advances that we benefit from in our daily lives( ( in medicine, communication, travel, etc..) originate with concrete scientific advances based on facts, not traditional unsubstantiated beliefs. Future progress must rely on open assessment of facts and conclusions based thereon.
Facts are the base for mankind’s existence.
Science gives us many opportunities, but it is important that science is free not dependent on economic interest, and that it is still possible to deal with basic research.
Because finding out how things work is essential to survival. Also for creating a peaceful, harmonious and safe future for our children and grand children. As Carl Sagan once pointed out: “Imagination will often take us to worlds that never were. Without it, we go nowhere.”
It’s important.
Of course we support March for Science. It’s an absolute no-brainer!
Because facts are not up for debate.
Science needs to be protected from stupidity
I support the March for Science!
We have entered the age of the uninformed opinion.
I support the March for Science!
I support the March for Science!
I support the March for Science!
Knowledge is the foundation of our society
We need another age of enlightenment
March for Science is a must do.
Because knowledge – and love – are the foundations of life and should be the foundations of both the local and the international community,
It is important and politicians underestimate the importance of basic science
We need to develop our world in a positive direction, based on facts not populism and fear.
Our future must be based on facts, not on opinions. Science provides facts. Let’s do more science to make this world a better place.
Science is our future.
To help counteract relativistic and transfactual views
Not because science is a sure platform, but because science is our most important survival kit in the wilderness of reality by people and natural forces.
Science is the best method we have to teach us more about the world and ourselves.
Pursuing true science is the way to true freedom. Faith will not do.
How can you not be interested in how nature works?
I support the March for Science!
Our society is based on science. Without science no growth in welfare. Therefore, I support the march.
I support the march.
No to state and corporate control of knowledge production
Good idea.
Communication (spin) is abused too often and in the political system there is often a great lack of knowledge and interest in decision making.
I support because I believe in my life being better when there is an explanation of everything around me
Our modern society builds on science.
